Hybrid ceramics-based cancer theranostics

Cancer is a major threat to human lives. Early detection and precisely targeted therapy/therapies for cancer the most effective way reduce difficulties (e.g., side effects, low survival rate, etc.) in treating cancer. To enable treatment, ceramic biomaterials have been intensively extensively investigated owing their good biocompatibility, high bioactivity, suitable biodegradability other distinctive properties that are required medical devices oncology. Through hybridization with materials loading of imaging agents therapeutic agents, nanobioceramics can form multifunctional nanodevices simultaneously provide diagnostic functions patients, these known as hybrid ceramics-based theranostics. In this review, recent developments theranostics, which include key aspects such preparation, biological evaluation applications, summarized discussed. The challenges future perspectives clinical translation theranostics also It believed potential nanoparticles bright despite along translation.
